New Delhi, Mar 2 (KNN) The Industries department of Delhi has invited agencies to submit an “expression of interest-cum-request for qualification” in partnering to design, develop, operate and maintain Dilli Bazaar, an e-commerce marketplace and offline services as well.
It was recently announced by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal which would be a virtual store for all traders, shop owners and service providers of Delhi to their products and services online internationally.
To prepare its strategy, the Dialogue and Development Commission (DDC) of Delhi was tasked with assisting the industries department.
Jasmine Shah, Vice-Chairperson, DDCd said that many traders and businesses pointed out the lack of online presence and reach despite Delhi’s recognition all over India and globally.
Hence, Chief Minister announced that Dilli Bazaar would be built to promote local businesses by providing them access to larger markets, he added.
Searches will be customised on basis of products, markets, sellers and geographical area.
To give a feel of market streets and shops and easing the journey of customer for their purchase, virtual market tours will be introduced.
